In a significant stride towards enhancing educational and skill development opportunities for underprivileged youth, Action and Light has entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Syadena Mohammadur Rasululah (SM) Dini Markaj Yatimkhana of Chakborkat, Sodor, Joypurhat. The MOU signing ceremony, presided over by the President of the Executive Board and Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) of Joypurhat, Abdullah Al Mamun, marked a pivotal moment for both organizations.
Representing Action and Light, Dr. Sazzadul Bari, Chairman, and on behalf of Syadena Mohammadur Rasululah (SM) Dini Markaj Yatimkhana of Chakborkat, Sodor, Joypurhat, the Secretary of the Executive Board, Maulana Aminul Islam, formally sealed the agreement. The occasion was graced by the presence of Al Imran, Vice-President of the Executive Board of SM Dini Markaj Yatimkhana, and Upazila Social Welfare Officer (Joypurhat Sadar).
The MOU underscores Action and Light’s commitment to providing technical training and events aimed at empowering the students of Yatimkhana and madrasas. Through this partnership, Action and Light will offer diverse skill development programs including IT support technician training, freelancing, electrical and electronics courses, mobile phone servicing, tailoring and dressmaking workshops, foreign language teaching courses, awareness programs, medical camps, and seminars on the teachings and biography of Peer Hazrat Muzibur Rahman Chisti Al Qadri (RH.) and other Sufis, along with the practice and philosophy of Sufism and so on.
Crucially, the MOU grants Action and Light the right to utilize the facilities of the existing technical training center, thereby enhancing accessibility to quality education and skills training. Moreover, Action and Light will facilitate extended collaboration agreements with local and international development partners, fostering a broader network for resource sharing and capacity building.
