Unlocking Potential: Action and Light’s Ongoing Technical Skills Training for Orphanage Residents in Joypurhat

The research-based non-government volunteer organization Action and Light has undertaken a notable initiative titled “Technical Skill Enhancement Programme for Residents of Orphanages”, which is currently ongoing at the Din-E-Markaz Atimkhana, located on the Madina Mahal Campus of Joypurhat Municipality.

This program is a purposeful step towards equipping orphanage residents with vital technical skills, particularly in Applied English and Primary Computer Literacy — areas deemed essential for their personal development and future self-reliance.

With a vision of empowerment through education, Action and Light has structured this program to offer practical knowledge alongside motivational learning. The training sessions are being led by Belal Hossain, an English teacher and active volunteer, who, together with his co-volunteers, conducts the classes in a friendly yet structured environment. Their efforts are being carried out under the active guidance and supervision of Dr. Sazzadul Bari, Chairman of Action and Light, ensuring quality delivery and regular monitoring of the program’s progress.

The ongoing sessions emphasize communication skills in English, basic computing, and confidence-building activities. The approach is interactive, allowing the participants to learn through practice rather than rote methods.

Through this initiative, Action and Light aims to bridge the gap between marginalized orphanage youth and mainstream educational and technical opportunities. The program reflects the organization’s ongoing commitment to research-driven community development and sustainable humanitarian engagement.

This continuing effort not only imparts skills but also fosters hope, dignity, and a pathway for a brighter future among the participating orphanage residents of Joypurhat.
