Testimonial Ceremony Held for Orphanage Skill Enhancement Programme by Action and Light

Action and Light continues its mission of empowering marginalized children through its long-term initiative titled “Technical Skill Enhancement Programme for Residents of Orphanages.” The programme is being implemented at Din-E-Markaz Atimkhana, Madina Mahal Campus, Joypurhat Municipality, with the goal of equipping orphanage residents with practical skills that support their education, employability, and future independence.

Designed as a continuous and structured learning programme, the initiative focuses primarily on Applied English, communication skills, and confidence building. Rather than short-term instruction, the training follows a sustained, hands-on approach that encourages participants to learn through practice, interaction, and real-life application. This method helps students gradually develop competence, self-esteem, and readiness for future academic and vocational opportunities.

The sessions are facilitated by Belal Hossain, Programme Coordinator of Action and Light, along with a team of co-volunteers. The programme is conducted under the active guidance and supervision of Dr. Sazzadul Bari, Chairman of Action and Light, ensuring quality delivery, regular monitoring, and meaningful learning outcomes. To recognize the dedication and progress of the participants, Action and Light organized a testimonial giving ceremony on 26 January at 6:00 PM at the orphanage campus. The event celebrated the students’ achievements and encouraged them to continue their learning journey with renewed motivation.

Testimonials were awarded to the participants as symbols of their commitment, growth, and newly acquired skills. The ceremony served not only as recognition but also as a moment of inspiration — reinforcing dignity, hope, and a sense of accomplishment among the children.

The programme and ceremony were attended by Dr. Sazzadul Bari, Maolana Aminul Islam (Superintendent of the Madrasa), Maolana Belal Hossain (Programme Coordinator), teachers, and volunteers, reflecting strong collaboration between the organization and the local community.

Through this ongoing initiative, Action and Light aims to bridge the gap between orphanage youth and mainstream opportunities. Beyond technical knowledge, the programme nurtures confidence, resilience, and life skills, helping participants envision a brighter and more self-reliant future.

This long-term effort demonstrates Action and Light’s commitment to sustainable, research-driven humanitarian development, made possible through the continued support of  well-wishers.
