On the occasion of Eid, Gnyati Gola: A Community Food Bank—an initiative of Action and Light successfully distributed essential food packages among marginalized families across Joypurhat district, Bangladesh.
The initiative aimed to ensure that vulnerable households, including low-income families, elderly individuals, and daily wage earners, could celebrate Eid with dignity and joy. Each food package included staple items and other daily necessities to support families during the festive period.

Community volunteers and youth members of Action and Light played a vital role in identifying beneficiaries and ensuring transparent and need-based distribution. The program was implemented with a strong commitment to inclusivity, prioritizing those most affected by economic hardship and food insecurity.

Speaking about the initiative, representatives from Action and Light emphasized that Gnyati Gola is more than a food distribution effort—it is a community-driven platform promoting solidarity, compassion, and resilience. The organization continues to work towards sustainable food security solutions while responding to immediate humanitarian needs.
This Eid distribution reflects the ongoing commitment of Action and Light to stand beside marginalized communities, fostering hope and collective well-being during times of celebration and beyond.
