Joypurhat, Bangladesh — Action and Light has officially launched its Language and Technical Skills Development Programme for Youth in the Northern Border Areas of Bangladesh, a strategic initiative designed to equip young people with the practical language and digital skills needed to access better education, employment, entrepreneurship, and global opportunities.
The inauguration ceremony was formally declared open by Maulana Md. Abdul Matin, Principal of Joypurhat Siddikia Kamil M.A. Model Madrasah. The programme was graced by Engineer Asaduzzaman Raju, distinguished education advocate and industrialist, as the Chief Guest.
Introducing the programme, Dr. Sazzadul Bari, Chairman of Action and Light, highlighted its vision, objectives, and expected impact. He emphasized that strengthening language and digital competencies among youth is essential for fostering inclusive development, expanding livelihood opportunities, and enhancing competitiveness in the global labour market.
The event was attended by several distinguished guests, including Shyamoli, Lecturer, Department of Arabic, Joypurhat Siddikia Kamil M.A. Model Madrasah; Aminur Rashid Kalam, Organizer of Action and Light; and Md. Faridul Islam, Chief Executive Officer of Ideal Education Family.
A keynote discussion was delivered by Mufti Maulana Imran Hossain, Arabic Language Specialist and M.Phil. Researcher, while the programme was moderated by Maulana Belal Hossain, English Language Specialist.


The initiative will provide young people from the northern border districts of Bangladesh with practical training in Spoken Arabic, Spoken English, Computer Skills, and Artificial Intelligence (AI). These competencies are intended to enhance employability, promote entrepreneurship, and prepare participants for the rapidly evolving digital economy and international labour markets.
Action and Light believes that sustainable youth empowerment can be achieved through collaborative partnerships among educational institutions, local communities, development partners, and other stakeholders. By investing in language and technical skills development, the organization aims to contribute to inclusive economic growth, resilient communities, and the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals.
